Kanye West and Drake have partnered with adidas and Jordan Brand, respectively, which in turn sparked a debate on ESPN's SportsNation: Do rappers sell as many shoes as athletes? Fortunately, hosts Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley had 2 Chainz in the hot seat as a point of reference.
When posed the question, the Atlanta native replied, "Let me tell you something, man. Rap is all year round; we not seasonal." He continued, arguing, "You got football season, and you got basketball season, and you got baseball season. It ain't no Hip-Hop season."
Both the sale and resale values of West's Nike Air Yeezy and Air Yeezy II, and even previously released shoes like Pharrell's signature Nike Dunk SB High, infer that the Hair Weaved Killer is correct.
