It's a trend that is still going strong in 2014 as the Auto-Tune wonder is using the single "Up Down (Do This All Day)" to market his upcoming album, Stoicville: The Phoenix. The single peaked on the Billboard US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at #17 and still gets heavy rotation in clubs nationwide.
When asked by Hip-Hop Wired about the song's inspiration and the biggest rump he's ever seen, Teddy Pain's eyes lit up like a Christmas Times Square because those cheeky memories involved a well-known Hip-Hop wifey.
"I think it would be a tie between Blac Chyna and my homegirl Red who used to work at King of Diamonds [in Miami]," he recalled to Hip-Hop Wired. "This was before Tyga, so let's get that clear," the rapper specified with a hearty laugh. This is coming from a man who once sung he was "in love with a stripper," so clearly Tyga could relate.
The song's chorus highlights the competitive field exotic dancers endure with lyrics like, "Booty goin' up, down/I ain't got no problem spending all of my money." T-Pain also was quick to point out the recent epidemic is butt injections that have been gripping the nation, sometimes ending in deadly scenarios.
As a frequenter of the booty clubs for song inspiration purposes, T-Pain found out about said epidemic first hand stating, "Some of these girls are just getting addicted to shots. I met one girl who literally told me that she was addicted to getting surgery and shots and she just keeps doing it! She doesn't know why."
Stripper struggle aside, Teddy Pain is looking forward to releasing his next LP, which, he's not even sure that will be his best one but his steadily recording until the label gives him the release date info.
