CyHI The Prynce – “Huey” [VIDEO]

CyHi The Prynce continues his impressive run with a visual for a new track titled “Huey.” It appears that the G.O.O.D. Music affiliate is in the Black History Month spirit, as this is a follow-up to another heater he calls “Coretta.”

Home is certainly where the heart is, as CyHi rhymes in Centennial Park in his native Atlanta. As you’ve probably guessed, this song is a lyrical tribute to the late Black Panthers leader and activist Huey P. Newton. In naming this cut after a cultural icon, who also happened to be a brilliant orator, CyHi had no choice but to pen potent bars.

CyHi appropriates lines from Jay Z’s “Where I’m From” to his proud hometown heritage, while claiming to be one of the A’s best lyricists. That’s a title reserved for fans to give, but the wordsmith makes a great case for himself with this release.

“Huey” will appear on CyHi The Prynce’s upcoming Kanye West-produced release, Black Hystori Project, due out February 24. See the treatment below.
