Chief Keef’s Cousin Blood Money Of GBE Shot & Killed In Chicago [VIDEO]

A local rapper named Blood Money (aka Big Glo), a cousin of Chief Keef, was shot and killed in the West Englewood neighborhood of Chicago last night (April 9). Born Mario Hess, the 33-year-ol had reportedly just signed a deal with Interscope Records.

Hess was part of Sosa’s Glory Boyz Entertainment (GBE) crew and appeared on the recent “F*ck Rehab” track.

Reports the Chicago Tribune:

Glo’s manager said he was trying to get the 33-year-old musician out of Englewood and the city.  “It’s a lot of crime and violence in Chicago, these rap guys are being targeted, so you know, just trying to get him outside the neighborhood. He’s from the streets,” Renaldo Reuben Hess said early Thursday morning.

“He was basically trying to just get his rap career together because that’s a good opportunity,” he said. “They gave him some money up front. It was a good chance for him to get himself out the hood.”

Police said two shooters opened fire just south of 56th Street on Elizabeth Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, leaving more than two-dozen shell casings in the street.

Hess was reportedly shot up to 10 times and succumbed to his injuries at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Another 28-year-old man, who Hess’ manager says he does not know, was also wounded and is in serious condition.

It seems like bullets stay flying around Chief Keef associates. In late March, the “Don’t Like” rapper was involved in a shooting at his manager’s home.
