Trio Robs Gun Store With Fake Gun

Two teenagers, and a 20-year-old man are accused of robbing a gun store in El, Cajon, Calif. last week, with a toy gun. Police say the three masked suspects hit up Hiram’s Guns & Spirits at around 2:15 p.m.

One member of the trio held the store employee at “gunpoint,” while the other two broke a glass display case and scooped out several handguns. No one was hurt in the incident.

The suspects fled the scene in a red 1998 Chevrolet Lumina, according to the store employee. Authorities tried to pull them over a little while later but the driver hit a turn and tried to get away. The vehicle was later blocked by several cop cars on a dead end street.

All three suspects were arrested and face felony charges for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The driver, Mykeon D. Menefee, faces 14 counts in total including felony evasion. He was booked into the San Diego County Jail. The two minors were taken to a juvenile detention facility.
