Trey Songz – Trigga Album Stream [Listen]
Don’t read too much into the Trey Songz pretty boy image. The Virginia vocalist is one of the last of the Mohicans when it comes to keeping a bit of integrity within the R&B realm. And a handful of singers who also fall in that category just happen to be treated like guests on Trey’s semi-self-titled six album, Trigga.
The “beat ‘em/join ‘em” doesn’t always have to apply in the music industry. Collaborations benefit the fans more than beef.
So with that, Ty Dolla $ign, Justin Bieber and Jhené Aiko’s bigger sister, Mila J all help belt out melodic notes. For the more stringent rap fans, Nicki Minaj and Juicy J are here to clear the air. Trigga is also scored by the best of today’s best, including DJ Mustard, Sounds and Mike WiLL Made It.
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Trey express his belief that his slow burning numbers are his forte and Trigga does excel in that area, but not so much to alienate just particular gender trait. The album is plastered with a crispy parental advisory sticker.
