Old habits die hard when your name is Katt Williams. The comedian pulled a gun out on somebody inside of the Comedy Store in West Hollywood, Calif. Tuesday (July 1) and cops were called to the scene.
TMZ reports:
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ … Katt was inside the club when a heckler started talking smack about the comedian’s height and race. We’re told Katt was not on stage … he was milling around. An eyewitness says he went crazy, threatening the heckler with a gun.
At that point someone called 911 — reporting a man with a gun at the Comedy Store — and 6 cop cars raced to the Sunset Strip. Deputies pointed shot guns and bean bag guns at the club as they prepared for a confrontation.
Turns out … Katt had already left.
So far no arrest warrant has been issued for Katt. Cops tell us they’re still investigating.
Williams had a pretty epic couple years of struggle arrests, a slow-speed chase, and missed shows. In 2012 he told us that he didn’t give “a f*ck” what people thought of him. “I been arrested 36 times in five years, but I never been in court, you figure it out,” Williams said. “I don’t care what they say. What they say, they love me so how could I give a f*ck what they say otherwise?”
He pulled it together by the next year though. Clearly, things have changed.
