Art imitates life, but the likelihood of this happening seems to be increase tenfold when said creativity follows moments of dire duress. New York-born, Atlanta based newcomer Naj Murph can attest, as he returns with his new mixtape, House-A-Rest Vol. 1.

The project’s title should be taken in a literal sense; Murph wrote it while confined to his home for eight months, per a court order. It’s a topic that the crafty wordsmith discusses throughout the tape’s 15-track framework, but through his journey comes a tale of overcoming. The crime committed is now of no consequence, because of the growth Murph experienced through it.

Remember that life is more often than not about how one bounces back.

In Murph’s return, listeners receive his best songwriting to date. Stream House-A-Rest Vol. 1 below.
