Soul food restaurants aren’t exactly a rarity in Atlanta. But rapper and reality TV star T.I. is planning to distinguish himself by opening a high-end soul food spot in his hometown.
Sources reveal that Tip has acquired a landmark building in Historic Downtown Atlanta. Renovation of the location has already started but an exact date for an opening of the as yet unnamed upscale eatery has not been revealed just yet. According to Radio.com, the property is on Ivan Allen Boulevard.
Hip-Hop Wired confirmed that the address is 30 Ivan Allen Boulevard, which formerly housed the Venue Restaurant & Tapas Bar and places it near the Civic Center.
T.I.’s latest album, Paperwork, is in stores now.
