Earlier in the year, Marvel unleashed a pair of comic book covers featuring Killer Mike and El-P‘s Run The Jewels symbol much to the delight of fans of all involved. Marvel has decidedly upped the ante after unveiling a number of comic covers fashioned after classic and current Hip-Hop album covers.

Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso revealed in an upcoming press release that the longstanding comic book hub will release more than 50 variant covers pulling from a variety of Hip-Hop acts over several eras. Eric B. and Rakim’s Paid In Full, De La Soul’s 3 Feet High And Rising, A$AP Rocky’s Long.Live.A$AP, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and other records covers are cleverly remixed.

“For years, Marvel Comics and hip-hop culture have been engaged in an ongoing dialogue,” said Alonso in the release. “Beginning this October, we will shine a spotlight on the seamless relationship between those two unique forces.”

If you ever wondered what Spider-Man looked like in a dookie gold rope, or wondered how Ant-Man looked as a baby, Marvel has you covered.
