A Tennessee sheriff is pinning the deaths of seven police officers, and a drive-by shooting outside his home, on Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime show. Seriously, we couldn’t make this up if we sincerely tried.

Reports the New York Daily News:

Sheriff Robert Arnold, an elected official in Rutherford County, has not been crazy in love with the star since she sang “Formation” at Super Bowl 50.

Arnold, who’s under FBI investigation for selling e-cigarettes to prisoners, said he thinks it’s why gunmen blasted rounds outside of his home on Monday night.

“With everything that’s happened since the Super Bowl, with law enforcement as a whole, I think we’ve lost five to seven officers, five deputy sheriffs since the Super Bowl, that’s what I’m thinking,” he told reporters Tuesday at a press conference. “You have Beyoncé’s video and that’s kind of bled over into other things about law enforcement.”

We seriously don’t think armed gunmen that would kill cops get riled up by listening to Beyonce.

Also, considering this sheriff is under investigation for selling e-cigarettes to inmates, maybe he “ran off on da plug twice”?

The Beyoncé-blaming sheriff is being investigated by the FBI and the Tennessee bureaus of investigation for corruption charges after it was revealed he sold e-cigarettes to jail inmates through “JailCigs,” a private company, owned by his own aunt and uncle, WKRN reported.

Reportedly, Arnold and the sheriff’s office is being sued for $20M for beating an inmate in his jail cell who suffered brain damage as a result. Yet this guy is blaming Beyonce for his struggle.
