The Dub Nation has cause to worry, at least a little. After an MRI on his sprained knee, Steph Curry will sit out the next two weeks of the playoffs the Golden State Warriors announced today.
According to the Warriors, the MRI revealed a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks to determine if he is able to return to the court at that time.
“Thanks 4 all the prayers & messages. Can feel all the positive energy. God is Great! All things considered I’m Gonna be alright!,” said Curry in a message to fans via Twitter shortly after the Warriors made the announcement.
After coming back from an ankle sprain that made him miss the third game in the first round NBA Playoffs series against the Houston Rockets, Curry went down with the knee injury after slipping at the end of the first quarter in yesterday’s (April 24) game four.
The Warriors ended up winning the game 121-94 and now lead the series 3-1. Game 5 goes down Wednesday, April 27.
We’re willing to bet Chef Curry will be back on the court dropping treys in less than two weeks, though.
