In what shouldn’t be a shock to anyone with a passing interest in basketball, Steph Curry has been named the 2015-2016 Kia NBA MVP. The NBA made the announcement today (May 10), and it was a rout.

Chef Curry set another record today (after dropping 17 points in an OT win last night), he is the first unanimous NBA MVP winner ever. Per the NBA, Curry swept all the  first place votes, earning 1,310 points.

Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs came in second while LeBron James came in third with 634 and 631 points, respectively.

The Golden State Warriors point guard joins an elite list of backcourt legends to win back to back MVP awards that includes Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Steve Nash.

Interestingly, and for slander purposes, James Harden, who came in second in MVP voting last season, didn’t even make the top five this year. Fourth and fifth in votes this year were Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant respectively.

All the aforementioned, save for Harden, are very much in the hunt for an NBA championship. Curry and the Warriors hope to make the ‘Chip a back to back, too.
