First of all, the fact that this Black church had Donald Trump as a speaker is a fail off top, but let us continue with the documentation of the struggle. While speaking at Bethel United Methodist Church in Flint, MI, Cheeto Jesus went off script and was promptly curved, a few times.
Apparently it was understood that Trump would not use his time at the podium to speak on politics. So when he inevitably did—he is running for President of the United States, after all—the church’s pastor, Rev. Faith Green Timmons, kindly reprimanded him.
“Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done in Flint, not give a political speech,” she said when he threw in a dig at Hillary Clinton, per NBC News.
Trump was also heckled, with Timmons telling those assembled that he was a guest and should be respected as such.
You really can’t make this stuff up.
