The Twitter hashtag #IfTrumpWereBlack has some cracking jokes, and others stating facts.
The hashtag is inspired by frequent CNN commentator Van Jones’ video that was uploaded in October. In it, he lays out some scenarios that would have different outcomes if Donald Trump wasn’t afforded the White Privilege that he lives with.
It was then revived earlier today by author Baratunde Thurston who wrote a piece titled If Trump Were Black, Latino, Muslim, or a Woman… that has since gone viral.
While Jones and Thurston have driven the conversation with a more serious tone, Twitter has entered the conversation and added a more emotional and humorous tone. Because if there’s two things that Trump pulls out of people, it’s emotions and jokes.
