Young Dro is back — not that he ever left. Hip-Hop Wired had an opportunity to sit with the Atlanta rapper to discuss the seven year gap between his major albums, how he would have reacted had Gucci Mane said something about him, and a few more hilarious topics as well.
Dro, known to be comedic, became noticeably serious when we asked why Hustle Gang holds down a majority of the guest appearances on High Times. “Well, we’re not going to act like we don’t see the elephant in the room,” the ATLien said, prefacing his next statement. “The CEO of this company [Hustle Gang] has been arrested countless times and did fed time — we weren’t able to produce as a group.”
Citing that “you need a leader to teach you how to lead,” Dro explained the importance of sticking close to the team around album time.
