Many were “up in arms” after Trinidad Jame$ said, “we run y’all musically,” during a rant about southern Hip-Hop versus the music New York City is producing at a recent Brooklyn show. But Maino, who recently contacted the “All Gold Everything” rapper personally to demand an apology, clearly isn’t taking the disrespect towards his stomping grounds lightly.

Audio from the aforementioned phone call hit the Internets, and needless to say that things got heated.

“When you said, ‘Yo, we run y’all musically and I don’t want to start nothing, but if you want to do something, we can do it, because I don’t give a f**k,’ you took away from whatever your opinion,” Maino said, sticking to his guns for lack of a better word.

Following that statement, the proud Brooklyn native explained that bullying Jame$ is not his intention. He’s just not for any ill words towards his hometown.

“You can’t get caught up in how the media put something out,” countered the Atlanta native. “When I went to do my show and I stepped out on that stage bro, I said a lot of sh*t. They chose to only show you that part, because by that time when I was talking and saying what I was saying, there was n***as from Brooklyn talking ’bout, ‘Preach! Preach! Preach!'”

But even with Jame$ explanation (see a full video on the following page), Maino says his southern counterpart needs to issue a formal apology. Hear the phone convo below, and share your thoughts in the comments.
