Former All-Pro and Super Bowl champion Darren Sharper was formally charged with rape today after being accused of two sexual assaults from two separate women at the same time.

The charges have since increased to two counts of rape by use of drugs and five other drug-related felonies.

Reports Los Angeles Times:

Sharper appeared in court on Friday, but his arraignment was postponed until Feb. 20. He was ordered to surrender his passport and stay in Los Angeles, at an area hotel. The judge also ordered Sharper to stay away from Bootsy Bellows, a West Hollywood nightclub.

Sharper was arrested Jan. 17 and released on $200,000 bail. If convicted, the five-time Pro Bowl selection who played for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints faces more than 30 years in state prison.

L.A. County Deputy District Atty. Stacy Okun-Wiese had sought in court Friday to increase Sharper’s bail to $10 million because of allegations made against the football player in Louisiana, Nevada and Arizona.

On October 30, 2013 and January 14 of this year, Los Angeles County prosecutors are saying Sharper scoped out two sets of women at Bootsy Bellows and drugged and raped them after convincing them to go back to his hotel room.

One women alleges she “interrupted his action,” when she woke up and another one said she woke up naked and caught him doing the same thing.

It was also reported that three other women and one man were drugged according to the records on file.
