Nipsey Hussle turned things up in 2013 and hasn’t slowed down since. In fact, yesterday, the Crenshaw rapper channelled his Los Angeles spirit into a new track called “Where Yo Money At,” featuring Pacman.
Nipsey keeps his monotone style in tact on a chorus that chants “Where yo money at?/ We gon’ smoke 100 sacks/ Shooting up yo block, switch cars, then we double back,” on the cut premiered by LA Leakers. The content, while street oriented, is opposed by poppy feeling production.
Neighborhood Nipsey ensured that his hometown was properly represented by reaching out to Roc Nation producer DJ Mustard for a mellow beat. The result is a song that’s far from club friendly if you’re judging by national standards. Instead, “Where Yo Money At” is better suited for a cookout or kickback.
