Darrelle Revis Signs With New England Patriots, Twitter Slander Erupts [PHOTOS]

Boston and New York sports teams have a long history of not getting along. The New York Jets and New England Patriots are a perfect example of this rivalry. Former Jet Darrelle Revis has just signed to be a Patriot and Gang Green fans are not happy.

Credited as the premier cornerback in the NFL, Revis played for the Jets from 2007 to 2012 where he was a four time Pro Bowler and was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.

While Revis Island helped the Jets reach the AFC Championship twice, his talents could do very little to improve their struggle offense.

In 2013 he was traded to the Buccaneers where he had a respectable season but Tampa Bay made it known they were trying to unload him.

After becoming an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career today, he reportedly signed a one year contract with the New England Patriots rumored to be worth $12 million dollars.

Obviously Jets fans felt some type of way about him joining “the dark side” and Twitter is where they chose to let their feelings be known. In the following pages you’ll find the most epic hate about Darrelle Revis being traded.

Do you think he betrayed New York? Let us know in the comments section.

Umm ppl on Twitter are really stoopid. He was traded 2 yrs ago to the Bucs and they released him. His price tag is high, he went to the team willing to pay the price.
