25-year-old Corrine Baker of Flint, Michigan is facing charges of second degree murder and child abuse for the death of her son Dominick Calhoun, the 4-year-old beaten to death by her boyfriend for wetting his pants.

Baker was arraigned Monday for “intentionally disregarding the well being of her son and placing him in a dangerous environment, knowing her actions would cause death.”

As previously reported, her live-in boyfriend 24-year-old Brandon Hayes is charged with beating the child to death after becoming enraged that he wet himself.

Police report that Hayes tortured the child; burning his knuckles, knocking out his teeth and beating him until his skull was crushed.

Baker told police that she tried to intervene but was beaten by Hayes.

Prosecutors say she left the apartment with the little boy at least one time before he died but didn’t seek medical help because she feared being arrested for a probation violation.

She is being held without bond for the second-degree murder charge and $1 million bond for the second-degree child abuse charge.

She faces life in prison if convicted.
