Wesley Snipes Reportedly Earning $3M For Blade 4

Although The Expendables 3 was a box-office bust, Wesley Snipes is reportedly sinking his teeth into a sequel that will be worth the money.

The world needs another vampire movie like Snipes needs another tax lien, but it appears that Blade 4 is around the corner regardless.

Reports NYDailyNews:

Confidenti@l has learned Wesley Snipes is set to reprise his lead role in “Blade,” the 1998 vampire thriller that made more than $130 million and generated two sequels.
Sources close to Snipes tells us the 52-year-old actor’s comeback after being released from prison in April 2013 (after serving two and a half years for tax evasion) is “looking good” and that he’ll make $3 million from this film, plus a cut of the profits. Let’s hope he remembers to pay Uncle Sam this time.

The last installment of Blade was panned by critics but still earned $128 million in theaters alone. There’s no limit to the milk a cash cow can produce.

Casanova Phillips aka Nino Brown…haa! He has a long list of good movies in his catalog. I love the action in the Blade series. Wesley’s a great actor & he killed it in New Jack City.

Why is a veteran black actor not earning white actor money by now???? It’s a God damn shame

Consistency is the key word, does Will Smith rings a bell for you.

      • Mari …

I’m sure there are millions of people waiting for his next project…and tickets do not cost $1…Either way, it has nothing to do with consistency. Actors take time off. What does that even mean?

  • Machiavel

Wesley ONLY making $3 Milli while his white counterparts are making $20 Milli + profits?

He’s an AMAZING ACTOR but what the fawk?

    • Big Gools

Remember Wesley hasn’t been out of jail that long. And before he went in, his movies were going straight to video. He has to re-establish himself. Also, the article mentions he is getting a cut of the profits. So he will see more than that 3 million. And if successful, he can renegotiate for his next film. It’s call a comeback. Robert Downey Jr. went through the same thing when he first came back from rehab.

At this point he have to jump on what he can get, but this America for you…

  • I love Wesley Snipes. Was watching a movie of his called the Gallows or something. Another movie about vampires. Similar to Blade, but the story was very good even the costumes. Just a little bit more money into production and the movie would have been perfect. Congrats Snipes!
