During an interview with Vulture, T-Pain got a little too comfortable and leaked out some information generally reserved for the tabloid media world in contrast to the urban realm where he claims monarch.
He let it be known that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs were engaged after six months of dating.
The topic of the mysterious British singer came up when Teddy Penderassdown was asked about his musical preferences these days. And then, the beans began to spill.
Who have you been listening to for inspiration?
FKA Twigs, she’s one of my favorite artists right now. I’m also super into James Blake right now, and Sampha. A lot of international artists.
Will FKA Twigs be on your new album?
Well, the first time we even met each other, we met in the studio. Her music’s changed a lot since then. But she’s on tour so much, and anytime I call her, she’s in a different place. And she’s engaged now, so that’s about to be a whole other thing. [Laughs.]
Wait, she’s engaged? That’s news to me.
Yeah, to ol’ Patty [Robert Pattinson]. I don’t know if she wanted anybody to know that …
Seeing that it was April 1 when the interview ran, T-Pain used the opportunity to claim April Fool’s Day but he needed more people. But be careful what you ask for. People magazine reached out to reps for Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs and they confirmed the engagement.
If T-Pain isn’t in the doghouse for spilling Twiggy’s secret, than the only one who’s not celebrating is Kristin Stewart.
