For anyone who didn’t get a chance to step inside Drake’s Sotheby’s collaboration, fear not, the “6 God” has your covered.  The crew over at Sotheby’s sat down with the Toronto rapper to talk about his I Like It Like This exhibition, and fusing music with art.  Drizzy’s job was to pair playlists with pieces by contemporary Black artists including, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker.  The exhibition was a way of introducing bridging the gap between music lover and art lovers. “My goal which is to try and not make both worlds not seem so distant,” he said.

The art world may be new territory, but music is Drake’s obvious strong point, the exhibition allowed him to tap into what he’s already good at. “Every night for me is about a playlists whether we’re out or whether we’re in, so it was just about giving these songs visual representation.”
