GOP Senate candidate Jon Girodes offered KFC, Kool-Aid and watermelon to anyone who attended his upcoming rally in Harlem. Harlem responded by offering a “foot in his ass.”

Will the sensible members of the Republican party please stand up because it’s not looking good for your team.

NBC 4  New York is reporting that Girodes, the Republican candidate for New York’s 30th District, offered Harlem residents “free food” in the form of KFC, Kool-Aid and watermelon in an effort to get them to attend one of his upcoming campaign rallies.

Girodes, who is acting like he doesn’t know about the historical stereotype of the foods, says that he found nothing wrong with the offer.

He tells NBC 4:

“What I think is anyone who gives free food to people is doing them a favor. Get a bunch of people who say it’s offensive and let me go into their neighborhood and give it out for free and see if they take it.”

Naturally, Harlem World wasn’t accepting of the gifts calling Girodes racist with one resident offering to put their foot in his ass as a thank you. Where’s Luke Cage when you need him?
