Cardi B and her rise to notoriety came just as she was becoming a notable fixture on the VH1 reality television series, Love & Hip Hop: New York. The social media star and budding rapper announced she’s leaving the show to focus on other creative endeavors but stresses there’s no bad blood for the decision.
Cardi B posted an Instagram Live photo explaining that she’s moving on from the show to focus on her music career and her eyeshadow line. Cardi was one of the standout members of the cast and her brash, outspoken nature made her a fan favorite. She explained that there’s no tension between her and show creator Mona Scott. According to Cardi, she just wants to put all of her focus in 2017 on her own business and stressed she wouldn’t have time to do the show.
