J. Cole’s latest album, 4 Your Eyez Only, has gone platinum. As is being duly noted by any and everyone, the project sold a million physical and digital copies without any features.
Late last week, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed that Cole’s fourth album was certified platinum. The album is his first on his own proper Dreamville label.
The album dropped on Dec. 9, 21016 via Roc Nation/Interscope.Coincidentally, HBO will be airing the film J. Cole: 4Your Eyez Only on April 15. Directed by Scott Lazer and Cole, the film will provide even more depth to Cole’s music by capturing the plights of low-income residents of cities like Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Ferguson and Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, NC.
Also, Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only world tour kicks off in June. Cole World, indeed.
