Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma were both at Birthday Bash in Atlanta this past weekend and things got interesting.
Nicki Minaj got the computers computing when she showed up as Gucci Mane‘s special guest during his headlining set at the annual concert. The newly reunited friends performed on stage together for the first time since Gucci’s Twitter meltdown from a few years ago where he claimed to have had sexual relations with her. It was also the first time they took the stage since Gucci got out of jail and patched their relationship back up.
However, Nicki made even more news when she took the opportunity to send more shots at her lyrical nemesis Remy Ma. Nicki performed her verse from “Make Love” which many think started the beef in the first place.
While Nicki got a few “ooohs and aaahs,” Remy was not impressed. Especially since she was at the same venue earlier that night and Nicki threw her jabs after she was gone.
“I know ni**as is not out here trying to act like we was all in the same building and you acting all tough and hardcorial,” Remy said on Instagram. “First of all, nobody even looks at you like that. Do you know that nobody believes that you’re tough like that? Stop. It’s actually painful to watch.”
Remy went on to state that it was stipulated that artists leave after they were done performing, which is why she wasn’t there and why Nicki’s actions were not bossy at all.
“Everybody knows I’m still on papers & I really be on some chill sh*t; perhaps that’s why b*tches out here ‘FRAUDing,’” she said.
We’re in the middle of summer concert season. Don’t expect for this back and forth to stop anytime soon.
