Tonight (June 22) is the NBA Draft and in preparation for the highly anticipated event, Kids Foot Locker has released a comedic commercial in which kid rapper Young Dylan interviews tonight’s top prospects Lonzo Ball, Jayson Tatum, Jonathan Isaac, De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk. The young man blesses the college stars with hard hitting questions like, “Have you ever been dumped?” and, “Do you really think your dad can beat Michael Jordan?”
You can guess who that question was aimed at.
According to Vice President of brand marketing and services at Kids Foot Locker North America, Stacy Cunningham, this was an opportunity to humanize tomorrow’s NBA superstars and remind kids that anyone can make it with a little hard work and dedication.
“It really gives these players, who were idolizing other NBA stars not so long ago, the opportunity to show off their humorous side and encourage kids everywhere to keep chasing their dreams.”
