NBA Live 18 won the tip off, now it’s NBA 2K18’s time to shine and bring the ball up the court.

Today (Aug. 16), the 2K Sports team rolled out the trailer for their latest installment in their popular NBA video game franchise, NBA 2K18.

Backed by the classic Mobb Deep track “Shook Ones, Pt. II” (RIP Prodigy), we get to see the game in action and peep our favorite NBA stars and this year’s rookies ball out.

The trailer comes right on time on as Digital Maketing Director of 2K Sports Ronnie Singh drops the ratings for the NBA stars on his timeline. Chicago Bulls star guard, Dwyane Wade wasn’t too pleased with his rating when it was revealed though.

This years edition of the best basketball game simulation game on the market will feature Cleveland Cavaliers star PG (for now) Kyrie Irving on standard editions.

Legendary big man Shaquille O’Neal will the grace the cover of two collectors editions called the ‘Legend Edition’. Those versions of the game will feature:

Legend Edition –

Physical Items:

  • Limited-edition Shaq poster;
  • 5 Panini trading cards;
  • Exclusive stickers.

Digital Content:

  • 100,000 Virtual Currency;
  • 20 Weekly MyTEAM Packs;
  • Shaq in-game items.

Legend Edition Gold –

Physical Items:

  • Limited-edition Shaq Poster;
  • Lenticular;
  • 10 Panini trading cards;
  • Exclusive stickers.

Digital Content:

  • 250,000 Virtual Currency;
  • 40 Weekly MyTEAM Packs;
  • Shaq in-game items.

Returning games modes such as MyGM, MyPlayer, MyCareer and MyTeam will make veteran 2K players feel right at home. This years addition will feature all-time teams for all 30 organizations and 16 new classic teams on top of the impressive 47 teams already featured.

Based off the footagee looks like the 2K18 will once again rule the esports streets  and that should surprise no one. NBA 2K18 launches September 19 for PS4, PS3, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, Nintendo Switch and PC.

If you pre-order the game you will be able to gain access early to full game on September 15th. Introduced last year, ‘The Prelude’ which also serves as a demo returns September 8 and will be available for download for free.99.
