Amidst claims that she is a long time Scientologist, Jada Pinkett Smith has finally put the allegations to rest.

In 2015 actress Leah Remini released her memoir Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. While the book unveiled what she endured as a participating member of the church, one portion of the tell all was plucked by several news outlets. Apparently, Tom Cruise hosted her, Smith and other celebs at his mansion for a game of hide and seek—yes, hide and seek.

“At first I thought he was joking, but no, he literally wanted to play hide-and-seek with a bunch of grown-ups in what was probably close to a 7,000-square-foot house on almost three full acres of secluded land.” She told him, sensibly, “I can’t play — I’m wearing Jimmy Choos.” He replied, “Well, good. So you’re It, then,” and then tagged her and ran to hide.

In a recent interview, Remini voiced that she firmly believes that Pinkett is indeed a Scientologist. “I know Jada’s in. I know Jada’s in. She’s been in Scientology a long time. I never saw Will [Smith] there, but I saw Jada at the Celebrity Centre. They opened up a Scientology school, and have since closed it. But Jada, I had seen her at the Scientology Celebrity Centre all the time.”

Well, Jada has finally come forward to shut down the allegations. The Set It Off star took to Twitter to clarify her spiritual position. “I have studied Dianetics, and appreciate the merits of Study Tech… but I am not a Scientologist” she posted.

She also went to admit she has worshiped several ways throughout her life but she does not let one single faith define her. “I practice human kindness, and I believe that we each have the right to determine what we are and what we are not.”

Props to Jada on the classy shutdown.
