Spike Lee finessed his vintage classic film She’s Gotta Have It into a Netflix series. Today (Oct. 12) we get the first official trailer of its contemporary update.
The premise is the same, don’t you dare call Nola Darling a sex addict (instead, try a “sex positive, polyamorous pansexual”) as she juggles three men; Greer Childs, Jamie Overbrook and Mars Blackmon.
That Latino version of the Mars character, portrayed by Anthony Ramos of Hamilton) that Spike Lee made famous is going to take getting used to, but his kicks look crispy.
All 10 episodes will be available on Thanksgiving (that’s Nov. 23).
