Kid Cudi Ends Dream On, Plans New Record Label

Cleveland rap star, Kid Cudi recently shut down his label and let his fans know via Twitter by sending out a message that read, “Dream On is over.”

Dream On is Cudi’s label founded with the A&R that discovered him, Patrick “Plain Pat” Reynolds and producer, Emile Haynie.

The label put out the G.O.O.D music affiliated rapper’s first two albums with distribution through Universal Motown, but now Cudi has decided to part ways with his partners.

He tweeted more about the reason,

“Pat and Emile are doing their own thing, i wish them well. I have a diff vision, for music, for the world.”

Cudi assured his supporters that this separation from Dream On will not affect his relationship with Kanye, nor will it affect his music negatively.

He likened his excitement about the new label to a kid on Xmas eve and says that new moniker for the imprint has been chosen, but will not be revealed until legalities are in order.

He is also enlisting producer, Dot Da Genius as his new partner in the upcoming venture.
