Toya Wright Now A Number One Bestseller
Toya Wright, previously known as Toya Carter, is now a NY Times bestseller. The ex-wife of Lil Wayne has landed on the coveted NY Times Best Sellers list with her hit book, Priceless Inspirations.
Toya, who recently wrapped the debut season of her hit #1 rated BET TV show, “Toya: A Family Affair,” previously shared the #1 spot with her good friend Tiny Cottle for one of the highest rated reality TV shows in BET history,“Tiny & Toya.”
Toya’s book landed at #14 on the NY Times’ “Advice, How-To, and Miscellaneous” list (#14)
Upon its release, Priceless Inspirations was on the Barnes & Nobles bestseller list and has remained a fan favorite since the beginning.
The book chronicles Toya‘s life as recorded in her diary and features a foreword written by Toya’s ex-husband Lil Wayne who calls her an “amazing woman” whose “strength is love” and says she is “stronger than the mind can imagine.”
Speaking on her book Toya released a statement saying,
“I try to address what really goes on with young women and girls that grew up in similar situations as I did: everything from family drama, to love and sex, motherhood (including teen pregnancies), and domestic violence.”
Toya recently married her soul mate, Mickey “Memphitz” Wright, in a fairy tale ceremony in Atlanta.
She is gearing up to write more books, has a profitable boutique, Garb, in her hometown of New Orleans with plans to open the online component to the store in the coming weeks.
