Nicki Minaj Speaks On Her Sophomore Album
Before announcing the nominees for the American Music Awards, Nicki Minaj was dishing out details on her new album.
The Young Money Barbie who’s up for two AMAs spoke with Global Grind on her sophomore album scheduled to hit stores next year.
According to Nicki, it’s “giving her life.”
“The new album is just giving me so much life and more importantly, I know my core fans and the world will really appreciate and recognize that I grew for this second album.”
She also made sure to speak on the fulfillment of her dream to get a platinum plaque.
“It’s been a whirlwind, it’s been a blessing from God. My fans have really gotten me through it. They really have just supported me from the beginning. I’ve been doing mixtapes for the last five years, so it’s not like I just started rapping, it’s that I just started getting recognized for rapping. It’s a dope feeling. I forgot that all I wanted was a platinum album! See, dreams do come true, because I definitely have that platinum album plaque hanging on my wall at home right now.”
