Black Hippy has yet to release their debut, but according to ScHoolboy Q, the project is on its way. With the members of BH –comprised of ScHoolboy, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Rock –busy with solo-stardom, all of the components have to be perfect before they drop the album. “Once we make that sh-t a classic and we feel we ready to do it, we gon’ do it,” he tells Hip-Hop Wired. “Maybe at the end of the year, maybe at the top of next year.”

Aside from his Black Hippy commitments, the 25-year-old is also focussed on his solo debut. “I’m working on it, I got the single ready, we gon’ go with it next, and just leave it at that.” he continued.”I don’t wanna say too much because you know with this industry sh-t, I could have a single, the next day they [the label] don’t want [the single]. I’m new to this game so I don’t want to say too much yet until I make something happen.”

In addition to prepping his album release, ScHoolboy will hit the road with Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and Chiddy Bang for the Under the Influence tour, before he goes out on another trek. “After summer I got another tour coming up, we aint announced that yet. You know I gotta keep getting this money and keep f–king with these people, and these fans.”

The Under the Influence tour starts July 26.
