During his performance at PowerHouse this past weekend, Kendrick Lamar announced the release date of his forthcoming Good Kid In a Mad CityThe TDE and Aftermath/Interscope MC’s major label debut will be landing on October 2nd.

The follow up to the critically acclaimed Section.80 will feature mostly in house production with confirmed guests including Dr. Dre, who appears on current single “The Recipe,” and Gunplay. While the latter drops the the set off verse on Maybach Music Group’s new “Power Circle” single, it’s Lamar that closes the song as a special guest. Besides his own project, the former K. Dot is scheduled to appear on Q-Tip’s new album, which isn’t scheduled to drop until 2013 and also has a collaborative album with J. Cole in the works.
