Fred Da Godson aka Gordo Frederico has a brand new E1 Records contract and has big plans. Rolling with the former Koch Record came down to their ability to keep up with the independent work the BX spitter has been putting in for a good minute.

“It was other labels, a lot of money thrown, but we just trying to make sure what we was doing, people was just ready right there to move with us,” said Fred, who goes on to mention the main focus being his revenge touting single “Monique’s Room.” “We just knew we had something big, so we just really wanted to move on that. Once you get something like that the labels just start pouring in and they just want to lock you up real quick. With the E1 situation it was real, real, real nice so we just took that.”

Next up for the 2012 XXL Freshman is an all new video for “Monique’s Room” as well as a new mixtape, Gordo Frederico, before dropping a proper album on E1. While all this goes down, he’ll be repping the thorough borough.

“If you from the Bronx, you just gotta to go extra hard. I try go go extra hard because it’s the birthplace of Hip-Hop as well. It just so happens we’re from there. And that’s on the birth certificate of rap, South Bronx.”
