Some people will do just about anything to get their hands on a pair of Air Jordans. 35-year-old Arthur Walker of Dallas, was arrested for driving his truck through Southwest Center Mall Friday (July 13), to pick up sneakers and clothes.
According to police, Walker stripped naked, wrapped himself in a blanket, drove through the mall’s front door, ran over a couple kiosks, and headed straight for Champs Sporting Goods. Once in the store, Walker removed his blanket to try on clothing, and a pair of Jordans.
No one was injured during the incident, which occurred at around 7:30 a.m.
Once apprehended, Walker was taken to the Dallas County Jail, where he is being held without bond on a burglary charge.
When it comes to Jordans the public is known to lose all concepts of good judgement. Following the re-release of the Air Jordan XI Concords last December, people all over the country were arrested and assaulted while fighting for the sneakers. One Chicago man was even robbed at gun point after he posted a Craig’s List ad looking to swap out the shoes for a different size.
