Kile Glover, the 11-year-old son of Tameka Raymond and Ryan Glover will be laid to rest in Atlanta, Friday (July 26). The funeral will be held at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church, and comes three weeks after he was struck by a watercraft during a trip to Georgia’s Lake Lanier.

Soon after the accident, doctor’s declared Glover brain dead, but he remained on life support, until last weekend. Conflicting reports state that the child died after the plug was pulled, but a family source alleges that his heart stopped before he was removed. Usher, who was Glover’s stepfather and shares two children with Tameka, chartered a plane so that the mother of five could get to her son as fast as possible. The R&B star was said to be distraught over Glover’s sudden death, and has been leaning on the support of family to get him through this tough time. Tameka has remained silent as she grieves the loss of her son, only breaking her silence to post a #Pray4Kile hashtag on her Twitter page.

Family friend, Jeffrey. S. Hubbard, was identified as the man who ran over Glover, also striking a 15-year-old girl. Both minors were transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and while the girl was released after suffering a broken arm and cut on the head, Glover never recovered from his injuries. Hubbard may face criminal charges, according to Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources.

Glover’s funeral is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EST.
