UPDATE: Booty Brown and Imani are not part of the tour described below. Instead, it is being put together by Slimkid, Fatlip, LA Jay and J-Swift and the tour is called “Bizarre Ride Live.”

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album,  Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde, LA rap group the Pharcyde Delicious Vinyl will be re-releasing the Pharcyde’s classic LP.  A release date has not been announced, but the album will reportedly be a three-CD box set, containing all the original songs as well as remixes and instrumentals. AllHipHop reports  that the legendary west coast group will also be kicking off their “Bizarre Ride Live” tour, which will be a concert series in which the “Passin’ Me By” rappers perform Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde in a theatrical setting.

Graffiti artist Slick, who was responsible for creating their debut album’s cover, will be handling the artistic direction of their shows and L.A. Jay will be controlling the audio visuals. Fans of the groundbreaking rap group will be able to enjoy dazzling visuals, b-boying, original skits and interludes from the album, and may be pleasantly surprised by who the Pharcyde  includes as special guests for their performance.

Cali residents who live in the Bay area  have a chance to see the group perform live at Low End Theory (8/3) in San Francisco, as well as an in-store performance at Amoeba Records (8/4) in Berkeley.
