Dr. Dre’s Beats By Dre marketing company has been in a little bit of hot water with the International Olympic Committee. Despite strict IOC rules regarding any non-rights holder advertising around the Olympics, Dr. Dre’s designer headphone company has taken aim at Great Britain athletes without the knowledge of the British Olympic Association.

Olympic heroes Michael Phelps, Sun Yang, Jack Butland and Tom Daley had been seen wearing headphones prior to their contests, exposing the good doctor’s brand of headphones to the worldwide audience. Rule 40 in the Olympic charter strictly forbids athletes from promoting their personal sponsors on social media during the Games. Beats’ finding the loophole has helped increase global exposure for the company since technically no rules were broken.

Things just ain’t the same for gangstas.
