Are bath salts back to wreak havoc on society? There’s no sure fire answer to that question, but a man in New Jersey exhibited behavior similar to those made famous during the zombie apocalypse. Jargget Washington, believed to be high on PCP, started his tirade on the streets of Jersey City Sunday (Oct. 21) night.

Police were called to an intersection where the 29-year-old stripped naked, and pounded on several cars all while screaming incoherently, before attempting to carjack a civilian by jumping on the hood of the vehicle and trying to manually remove the driver.

Upon their arrival on the scene police reported that Washington got in a fighting stance, and dared them to run up. He was restrained and taken to the Jersey City Medical Center (but not before defecating in the back of a squad car) where he was cleared of mental issues. “When [Washington] was released the hospital felt that he wasn’t a threat to himself or others,” revealed hospital spokesperson Mark Rabson.

Washington—still not taking too kindly to his situation— spit at officers, plus tried to eat the medical bracelet on his wrist. He stepped it up a notch by chewing on his own wrists in yet another attempt at freedom, and when that didn’t work, things got real. Washington chewed off, then swallowed, his own finger.

That last move must have gotten doctor’s attention, because  Washington is receiving treatment at the medical center. He has been charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance, carjacking, and throwing bodily fluids at a law enforcement officer.

According to his criminal record, Washington was released from prison in January after serving three years for selling drugs, and given this embarrassing (and probably painful) episode, he may want to think about going to rehab.
