Rihanna gives good visual. Her latest piece is the Anthony-Mandler directed video for “Diamonds,” the first single off her forthcoming Unapologetic release.

As seen in the behind-the scenes-shots she released last month, the video features fire, in what appears to be a post-war region, but there are also other elements involved. Opening with the Bajan superstar smoking a blunt full of diamonds, the video goes from black-and-white to color, with Rih Rih unable to hold onto the hand of a tatted up dude that’s sure to draw the obligatory Chris Brown comparisons.

Null of an official co-star the 24-year-old is joined by a pair of stallions running on the beach, in one of the many artistic shots. In every scene Rihanna commands your attention, whether she’s floating in a pool, running barefoot down a highway, appearing topless, or twirling on the floor rocking boy shorts and a midriff sweatshirt— the camera loves her.

Needless to say, Rihanna shines. Like a diamond.
