Katt Williams was arrested Wednesday (Nov. 14) night stemming from an alleged nightclub fight in Oakland, Calif., reports TMZ.

Williams was taken into custody on battery charges over the incident which took place at Kimball’s Carnival at around 3 a.m.

The father of seven was brought into the police station for questioning, but information surrounding the alleged battery has not yet been released. At press time, the comedian was said to still be in police custody.

Over the last several years Williams has become all to familiar with getting into trouble. Last month he pulled a gun out on actor Faizon Love, whom he allegedly owes $50,000. Williams was detained by police but no charges were filed against him.

Following the incident, Williams shared his account of the story with TMZ. “We got into an altercation. He said some things. Then he called the police and the police came. They did a full investigation.”

Aside from the gun pulling situation, Williams is also facing legal action from a former assistant. Melissa Ishage filed a $5 million lawsuit against Williams claiming that he flipped out on Oct. 6, punching her in the head, and knocking her to the ground.

Ishage  alleges to have suffered permanent damage from the violent run-in.

**Update: Williams was arrested for allegedly hitting a man over the head with a bottle. He has since been released from custody.
