Rumors have surfaced that Emilio Rojas will be signing with Maybach Music Group. While speaking to MTV News, Rick Ross discussed the possibility of bringing Rojas into the MMG fold, along with Dom Kennedy.

“If I’m a fan of your music, it’s always a possibility and I’m a fan of Emilio” Ross stated.

Hip-Hop Wired spoke with Rojas to find out what the New York MC had to say about Ross’ comments and the idea of joining a crew like MMG.

“They’re about bringing good music over there, and everybody over there is incredibly talented…I really appreciate all the love and respect they’ve shown me and my music,” Rojas told Hip-Hop Wired. “It’s a blessing to have someone on that level, reach out and tell you, that they’re a fan of your craft.”

MMG is currently the home for several young and talented MC’s, including Meek MillWale, and up and comer Stalley, which can make for a very crowded roster. With a full slate of projects to be released in 2012, it would be interesting to see if Emilio would be a good fit with the team. The ‘Breaking Point’ MC responded to that question with the following: “I mean I don’t know if it’s a fit or not, only time will tell. Right now I’m just working on a lot of my own stuff, anything that happens, it just has to be right.”

Rojas revealed that some future collabs with MMG may already be on the horizon. “I don’t know, they have some records of mine, over there, so we’ll see,” he said. “One thing they do well is work well with one another, and they’er always doing records with each other.”

A roster such as MMG can easily provoke competition within the camp, but Emilio doesn’t see that coming from him. “I’m a competitive person, but I don’t really compete with other artists. I feel like everybody can eat, if they work together. I’m just gonna continue doing what I’ve been doing, which is what made [Rozay] reach out to me in the first place.”
