Last Tuesday night, the tri-state area was tuned in to Hot 97 as Funkmaster Flex went into one of his patented rants. His target was longtime nemesis DJ Clue, a legend in the mixtape circuit and DJ at rival Power 105. Clue responded last night in an animated rant where he accused the Hot 97 DJ of threatening labels to not play their artist if they allowed the Queens DJ to break new records first, among many insults. Clue also made sure to mention Power 105 has actually outperformed Hot 97 in ratings, questioning who really runs New York’s airwaves.
