It’s been a few weeks since the the untimely passing of Adam “MCA” Yauch of the Beastie Boys fame. Rolling Stone pays proper tribute to the Brooklyn native and Hip-Hop pioneer by placing the late rapper on the cover of its latest issue.

The cover story, written by Brian Hiatt, features the first interviews with fellow Beasties Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Mike “Mike D” Diamond since their rhyme comrade’s death. “”I’m totally confused,” Ad-Rock told Rolling Stone. “I’m walking my dog and I’ll start crying on the street.”

Also speaking on MCA are director Spike Jonze, Rick Rubin (who signed the group to Def Jam and was their former DJ and Sheryl Crow. Peep the MCA cover, and some past Beastie Boys covers, in the gallery.
