Sweet Brown isn’t the only person making the state of Oklahoma look bad. You can now add Tavares Donnell Colbert to that list. The Oklahoma resident ran into more bad luck than he bargained for after accidentally shooting himself in the genitals with a gun he “found” somewhere in Kansas. Colbert, was arrested last weekend after he drove himself to a local hospital.
A convicted drug dealer, Colbert, was met at the hospital by police who were called to investigate the matter. He told authorities that he planned on selling the gun to a buyer meeting him at a local 7-Eleven. On his way to make the sale, the 36-year-old wanted to be sure that the gun worked properly, and got his answer when he was shot in his “baby-making” region.
What he probably didn’t bet on was getting arrested for being a convicted felon carrying a firearm, which is of course against the law. “That’s why I was going to sell it,” he allegedly told cops, after they learned of his criminal background.
Police arrested Colbert and charged him with possession of an illegal firearm.
