After making an appearance on the new show The Mindy Project this past week, New York Knicks power forward Amar’e Stoudemire will be diving into the big screen. The All-Star forward will be producing a sports documentary called Little Ballers, which follows four young athletes as they go through the AAU youth league to pursue their dreams of going pro.

Author and producer Crystal McCrary will direct the documentary, which will feature music from Timbaland and Lupe Fiasco to appear on the film’s soundtrack. Under Amar’e production company, STATusphere, the film is slated for release next year and will feature appearances from Knicks great and Basketball Hall of Famer, Patrick Ewing as well as Oklahoma Thunder guard, Russell Westbrook.
